Bought a sailaway from Lymm Boats. There were many areas of severe rust when we sailed the boat away, especially in the well deck and on the stern. The rust was well ingrained in the steel. Now rust is evident everywhere. It looks like an old boat. It seems like rusty metal was used in the boat’s construction and painted over with primer. It will take a lot of work to treat the rust.

We purchased a sailaway from Chris at Lymm boat sales. We had it spray foamed and we fitted it out ourselves. From day one we had great service and would highly recommend this company if you are after a good sailaway at a competitive price. Top marks from us.

Just took delivery of my sailaway narrowboat Chris and the team delivered in record time a great shell and adjusted there build to Accommodate my requirements.i will definitely recommend and all for a £1000 deposit rather than staged payments. What’s not to like. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I bought a sailaway from Lymm Marina and was generally very happy with the whole experience.

The main selling point was the owner’s (Chris) attitude to boat building. When asked if he could do this piece of custom steel-work, or add in a roof light here, or fit this part inside, his attitude was simply “anything is possible”.

The number of boats in stock was also incredibly useful when trying to determine what to order, or how certain features would look, and it was always quite fun to look around all the different boats.

The whole marina staff were also incredibly helpful on “leaving day”, when everything from licence disks/fenders/food/locks had to be in the same place at the same time before setting off.
