What a beautiful place, despite the rather industrial surroundings on the drive to it.
Such friendly staff and the menu was amazing.
Will definitely be returning to eat at the restaurant and enjoy the view over the marina

We have been moored at the marina for 2 years with our wide beam. Firstly my wife and I and now my daughter while she is studying at university. The staff are first class, nothing is too much trouble. We are most definitely boating virgins, the help that Mal, Dave and Lee have given us some nice arriving at the marina has been priceless. They are all the nicest people you could ask to meet. They have offered endless support over the last two years. Facilities are excellent, the recently refurbished showers and toilets are the best I’ve come across at a marina, modern, clean, warm with plenty of hot water. The Marina restaurant is superb and rightly spoken about as the best seafood restaurant in the midlands. It still maintains a warm welcome to people moored at the marina, whilst coping with ever increasing numbers of customers who have heard about the quality of the food served. ( unfortunately we missed the visit by Toya a few weeks ago).
All in all it has been a pleasure to have our boat moored here. Well done to all the staff.
In closing, I understand that Mal has just taken well earned retirement. We want to wish him every happiness and success in what ever life brings him. Thank you.

We were taking a boat from Sheffield to Worcester but Bevere Lock is subject to a stoppage and we took a chance and booked into Tingdene having heard mixed stories.
So, what’s it like?
In a word: Superb!
It’s only a small marina and run pretty much by three people. But what it lacks in size it makes up for in service and quality. We’d left our car in Crewe whilst shuttling around and my partner had planned walking, bussing and getting a train from Kidderminster to Crewe. The chap who booked us in drove her to Kidderminster railway station, saving over an hour on her journey.
The marina itself is undergoing lots of renovations with new pontoons, electricity and water points.
Access to the pontoons is via a entry code locked gate, reassuringly the code is changed monthly. Access to the site outside normal hours is via an electronically operated gate with a different code making the car park very secure.
Onsite facilities including laundry are of exceptional quality. The real surprise was the shower – clean, modern, wouldn’t be out of place in a five star hotel.
Everything about this marina set the bar very high and I’d have absolutely no hesitation booking in here again. Stourport is a 5 minute drive away and has all the usual townie stuff including a huge Tesco. There are some ace pubs notably The Swan, a labour of love owned by local music shop owner.
And finally, back at the marina, a separate bar and award winning restaurant specialising in freshly caught seafood (steaks, burgers (home made) and veggies also catered for).
It’s odd to think that if Bevere Lock was subject to a closure we’d have just sailed by. Finding Tingdene is the first time I can say I’m happy that a lock has been closed. A jewel that sets standards many other marinas should aspire to.

I’m looking at some of the reviews. There’s a problem. The Quayside restaurant is no longer the clubhouse as it is an independent restaurant soon to have independent toilet fertilities. Leaving the boat owners with less fertilities. It’s becoming a boat mooring place. There’s no entertainment, just an expensive seafood bistro. Even by cornish prices. Even though they get their shellfish from there. I’ve been to Looe, Newquay, and it was half the price. Yes, Scott is a good cook ( chef???) As a chef is a German word for the boss of a kitchen ? I will leave it to you .
